Fear
“Do not be satisfied with the stories that come before you. Unfold your own myth.”

“What you fear is a door that can only be opened by stepping through it.”
The things that frighten us most are often the things we most need to move toward. Not because fear is always wrong — sometimes it is right, and the right response is to stay away. But often, fear marks the edge of our current self. It shows us where we stop.
Walking toward what scares you is not about being fearless. Fearlessness is not the goal. The goal is to be afraid and to move anyway — to let the fear be present without letting it be in charge.
Each time you do this, the boundary of your self expands. What was once terrifying becomes merely difficult. What was once impossible becomes something you have already done.
