Forgiveness
“The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.”

“Forgiveness is the journey where the heart learns to dance again, unburdened by the chains of yesterday.”
Forgiveness is not a single act. It is a long road, and you will walk it many times before you reach the end.
You will think you have forgiven, and then something will happen — a memory, a song, a chance encounter — and the anger will return, as fresh as it was at the beginning. And you will wonder if you have made any progress at all.
You have. The return of anger is not evidence that you have not forgiven. It is evidence that the wound was real. Forgiveness does not erase the wound. It changes your relationship to it.
Each time the anger returns and you choose, again, not to let it define you — that is forgiveness. Not a destination reached once, but a direction chosen repeatedly.
