Forgiveness
“Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.”

“Your heart is a vessel too precious to fill with stones of unforgiveness; release them and let love flow.”
Unforgiveness is heavy. It requires constant maintenance — the replaying of the injury, the rehearsal of what you would say, the vigilance against the possibility of being hurt again.
This maintenance is exhausting. And it takes up space that could be used for something else — for joy, for creativity, for connection, for the life that is happening right now.
The person who hurt you has, in a sense, taken up residence in your mind. They live there, rent-free, consuming your attention and your energy. Forgiveness is the eviction notice.
This is not a gift to them. They may not even know they are living there. It is a gift to yourself — the reclamation of your own mental and emotional space.
