“Rest within your own being, for the universe resides in the skin you call home.”
Many of us live at a distance from our bodies. We inhabit them the way a traveler inhabits a hotel room — temporarily, without settling in, without making it home.
We have been taught to see the body as a vehicle, a problem, an object to be managed. Too heavy, too slow, too loud, too much. We have learned to override its signals, to push through its limits, to be suspicious of its needs.
But the body is not a vehicle. It is you. It is the place where your entire life is happening. Every emotion you have ever felt has been felt in this body. Every experience you have ever had has been had through this body.
Coming home to the body is not a luxury. It is the beginning of being present to your own life.
