“Embrace the shadows you hide, for they hold the light of your wholeness.”
Every person has parts of themselves they have rejected. The anger that was not allowed. The neediness that was shamed. The ambition that was called selfish. The sensitivity that was called weakness.
These rejected parts do not disappear. They go underground. They express themselves in indirect ways — in the things that trigger you most intensely, in the qualities you most dislike in others, in the patterns you cannot seem to stop repeating.
The work of becoming whole is not the work of becoming perfect. It is the work of reclaiming the disowned parts — not to act them out indiscriminately, but to acknowledge them, to understand them, to integrate them into a more complete self.
You are larger than the parts you have been allowed to show.
