“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”

“The wound is the place where light enters you, revealing the hidden path to your soul's purpose.”
The thing that broke you is often the thing that equips you.
The person who survived addiction understands something about recovery that no textbook can teach. The person who lost a child knows something about grief that no training can convey. The person who grew up in chaos has a capacity for calm in crisis that others have to work hard to develop.
This is not a justification for suffering. The wound was not given to you so that you could serve others. But the wound, once survived, often becomes a source of unusual capacity.
The question is not: why did this happen to me? The question is: what does this experience make possible that would not otherwise be possible?
