Purpose
“You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?”

“The soul is not selfish for seeking its purpose, for it knows that its fulfillment births light for others to follow.”
Many people feel guilty about pursuing what genuinely calls them. They have been taught that their needs are secondary, that wanting something for themselves is selfish, that purpose should look like sacrifice.
But a life lived entirely in service of what others expect from you is not a noble life. It is a life unlived.
The things that genuinely call you — the work that makes you feel most alive, the questions you cannot stop asking, the problems you cannot stop trying to solve — these are not distractions from your purpose. They are your purpose.
The world does not need more people doing what they think they should do. It needs more people doing what they are actually called to do. That is not selfishness. That is the most generous thing you can offer.
