“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you truly love, it will not lead you astray.”
You are always in the process of becoming someone. The question is whether you are becoming someone intentionally or by default.
By default, we tend to become more of what we already are. Our patterns deepen. Our habits solidify. Our beliefs calcify. The person we are at forty is often a more entrenched version of the person we were at twenty.
Intentional becoming requires something different. It requires the willingness to examine what you are becoming and to ask: is this who I want to be? It requires the courage to change direction when the answer is no.
You are not fixed. You are not finished. The person you are today is not the person you have to be tomorrow. That is not a threat. It is the most liberating fact about being human.
