The wound is where the light enters; be patient, for even the darkest night will surrender to the dawn.

We are drawn to stories of sudden transformation — the moment of revelation, the overnight change, the dramatic before-and-after. These stories are compelling. They are also, mostly, not how transformation actually works.

Real transformation is usually slow. It happens in increments so small they are invisible in the moment. It is the daily practice that seems to be producing nothing until, one day, you look back and realize you are not the same person you were a year ago.

This slowness is not a sign that nothing is happening. It is the nature of deep change. The roots grow before the tree grows. The foundation is laid before the building rises.

Trust the slow transformation. It is the one that lasts.
