In the chaos you did not choose, find the seed of who you are meant to become.

Not all transformation is chosen. Some of it is forced upon us by circumstances we did not invite and would not have chosen — illness, loss, failure, the sudden ending of something we thought was permanent.

This kind of transformation is harder than the chosen kind. It does not come with the motivation of desire or the clarity of intention. It comes with shock, with grief, with the disorientation of having the ground removed from beneath you.

But it is often the most profound kind. Because it reaches places that chosen transformation cannot reach. It breaks through the defenses that voluntary growth leaves intact. It asks questions that comfort never asks.

The transformation you did not choose is not a punishment. It is an invitation — one you did not ask for, but one that is asking something real of you.
